The Votes are Counted
First I would like to thank all the quilter that entered our challenge. We had wonderful variety of things to choose from. I would also like to thank all the customers and friends who come into the shop to vote for your favorites. The votes are counted and the results are in. The first place ($50 gift Certificate) went to "Cowgirl Apron" by Barbara Edmondson. The Second place ($30 gift certificate) went to "Hide and Seek" Throw by Charlene W. and Terry H. The Third place ($20 gift Certificate) went to "Green Acres Wall Hanging" by Jane Richmond. Everyone did a great job and I am looking forward to doing another challenge in the fall.
Reminder that May 8th is Senior Day at the shop. 20% off entire purchase for those customers that are 60 years young or older...
I am planning another Quilter/Crafter Garage Sale. Tables are available to rent for 10.00. It is a great way to get rid of all those UFO's or material and tools that you are not in love with anymore. Tentatively scheduled for May 26th. Call me if you need more info
I cannot believe that it is the first of May is here. The year is going by too fast. I wanted to let you know some of the new things in the shop. I have gotten the last issues of Quilts and More, MaryJane Farms, and Quilt Sampler. I have gotten serveral new books, If you have not gotten to come in to the shop in the last couple weeks, there is a new look in the "Blue room" and the "Front Room". I am getting ready for the Memorial holiday and for the upcoming summer.
Speaking of summer, I wanted to let everyone know that we are getting geared up for the "East Texas Shop Hop". It is scheduled for July 2 - 14th. We are going to divided the hop into two regions this year. There are 13 shop participating. The West District are: Bullard, Jacksonville, Jewett, Marquez and Trinity. The East District are: Nacogdoches, Huntington, Jasper, Woodville, Warren and Silsbee. I will send out more details as things come together.
I am looking forward to the coming months and all that is happening at the shop.
